Procell Therapies Microchanneling: Microneedling Evolved

Obtaining smooth and youthful looking skin can be harder and harder to achieve the older we get. As our skin ages, our collagen production begins to diminish, leaving your skin struggling to keep up.

Whether you’re interested in getting ahead of your aging skin, or looking to remedy some unwanted imperfections, microchanneling may be for you!

Let’s dive in!

What is Procell Therapies Microchanneling?

Procell Therapies has curated a technique designed to boost your body's natural collagen response. Microchanneling is a non-invasive process that penetrates the top most layer of your skin. These small channels stimulate the skin's need to produce collagen and heal the affected area without the addition of chemicals or other additional treatments.

What makes a Procell Therapies Microchanneling treatment unique?

When it comes to skincare and anti-aging treatments, the reason Procell’s treatments stand out amongst the competition is due to the fact that it causes minimal trauma to the skin and requires little to no down time following your procedure. Seamless healing is accomplished due to the human growth factors derived from bone marrow and stem cells that limit the skin's ability to scar or become inflamed. In fact, any redness or swelling that may occur as a result of your treatment will be gone in less than 24 hours from your appointment.

To compare, processes like microneedling can pull and tug on the skin during their treatments. Microchanneling uses a stamping technique to deliver precision treatment without any additional trauma.

What skin concerns are targeted with microchanneling?

If stretch marks, acne scars, fine lines, and hyperpigmentation are primary areas of concern that you have with your skin, microchanneling may be the perfect solution. Because this process is non-invasive and only activates collagen production by triggering the top most layers of your skin, any skin conditions that are to be treated should be surface level. Overall, the goal is to promote skin rejuvenation while also improving skin firmness and texture.

Who is a good candidate for microchanneling?

As long as the procedure is carried out by a licensed esthetician, anyone is eligible for this treatment. Additionally, due to the fact that collagen production and skin firmness diminishes as we get older, those with more mature skin would highly benefit from a microchanneling treatment.

Comparing microchanneling and microneedling

To better understand the process of microchanneling, it is beneficial to compare the process with other treatments. The treatment most commonly compared to microchanneling is the process of microneedling. Not only do these two procedures sound the same, the concept is pretty similar as well.

Primarily, the difference between these two treatments can be found in the application and technique. Microneedling uses small metal needles on an applicator that punctures the surface of the skin. Microchanneling uses a stamp-like motion to evenly distribute microscopic channels on the surface of your skin.

How do the results of each treatment compare?

Making the decision between two procedures often boils down to the effectiveness of the results. In the case of microneedling vs microchanneling, the results can come head to head with each other.

Overall, there is a greater likelihood of additional trauma and scarring when participating in a microneedling session. Microchanneling provides an even uniformed treatment while also being less invasive than microneedling.

The downtime of microchanneling and microneedling

Between the two, microchanneling provides a reliable treatment with little to no downtime. Microneedling, on the other hand, can take up to two days to fully recover from the treatment and can result in temporary scabbing or peeling.

If you’re looking for an effective treatment with minimal downtown, microchanneling takes the cake!
