PRE/POST SERVICE CARE

 

SUN/TANNING BED EXPOSURE

Please note that your skin will be extra sensitive if you have been recently exposed to sun or the tanning bed. Please inform me so I can apply a barrier balm before starting your waxing service.

PRESCRIPTION CREAMS, ANTIBIOTICS, RETINOL

If you are using retinol (prescription or OTC), please discontinue use at least 7 days before and after getting waxed or a skin treatment.
If you are currently on oral antibiotics, your skin may be extra sensitive to waxing due to thinning of the skin and dehydration.
If you are currently on acne medication or topical creams, please note you CANNOT get waxed while on Accutane or prescription acne creams. You can proceed to book a brow appointment but please specify that you would like a TWEEZE ONLY service.

 

QUESTIONS?

LASH LIFT & BROW LAMINATION

If you are getting a lash lift or brow lamination, please note if you are allergic to ammonium thioglycolate (an active ingredient in perming and straightening solutions), you may require a patch test before the day of your appointment.

Please also note that you CANNOT get your brows or lashes wet for at least 24 hours. This includes all water but especially hot water and steam. No saunas, hot yoga, be mindful of cooking, steam from kitchen appliances, shower or bath with steam, etc. Excessive sweating can also cause the brow lamination or lash lift to drop. No exercise and be mindful of being outdoors in the warmer months.
